Tour Hue 17/03 – Learn About Traditional Craft Villages & Experience Making Lanterns.

The weather was really nice yesterday, right? That’s why there’s something special that AET wants to share with you, which is a tour of the city of Hue with more than 20 students from Trung Son Primary and Secondary School (Gio Linh). As the saying goes, spring to summer is here, it is the moment of transition between the two seasons, making the beautiful weather even more beautiful, supporting AET’s Tour even more.

When the students arrived at the traditional craft village space next to the romantic Perfume River, they learned about the origin, process of making products, and meaning of each traditional craft village in Hue with a long-standing history, such as making hats, making kites, lanterns, Thanh Tien paper flowers, bamboo and rattan weaving, making incense,… and meeting many skilled artisans. The most special thing is that the students make a lovely and cute Banh U lantern with their own hands to take home as a gift to their parents or place it in a small corner of the room to always remember their own experience.

In the afternoon, the students had a very interesting and useful activity. That was going to the Citadel together to practice communicating with international tourists. AET remembers the excitement and laughter when they talk to foreigners. Hope our students will always work hard to learn English the way they have enjoyed this trip!

Finally, AET would like to thank the parents, Ms. Ha and Ms. Thanh, for trusting and always accompanying AET to bring students a memorable day of experience. Hope to have many more trips together in the future!
