We have spent a memorable journey together in Quang Tri, a place associated with history and love for the homeland.
Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery: located on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, is the resting place of over 10,000 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the war against the US. It symbolizes bravery and love for the homeland. Rows of white stone tombs each tell a story. When students learn more and light incense sticks themselves, the experience becomes deeply emotional, reminding them to study hard and never forget, ‘When drinking water, remember its source.’
Hien Luong Bridge: Built across the Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge is a symbol of the division of the country during the war. This is where the Vietnamese family was divided, and the stories of family, love, and sacrifice have written a painful and united history. Standing on the bridge, you can see both sides of the river—one side is the south, the other side is the north—and feel the solidarity of the Vietnamese people during the resistance war. Now that you have a better understanding of the love for your homeland and country, our ancestors tried to rebuild and regain independence.
Hopefully after this trip, you guys will always keep your faith, strive, and spread love to your friends and the community around you!
AET would like to thank the parents in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces for trusting and sending their children to this “special” tour! Thank you for your extremely energetic participation.
