During the sunny days of August, students from five central provinces: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Hue gathered to join this special tour organized by Cay Nen Yeu Thuong in collaboration with Amazing English Tour with the theme “Sow the love of peace”. This is an opportunity for students to connect, learn, and convey good values and gratitude for the sacrifices. Small steps, eager eyes, and passionate hearts made a meaningful journey, imbued with love and national pride.
Offering incense at National Cemetery of Martyrs on Route 9
The first stop was the National Cemetery of Martyrs on Route 9. In front of the straight rows of tombstones, students offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Each word of gratitude was whispered to those who had fallen, as a reminder of the deep gratitude for the boundless sacrifices of previous generations in exchange for freedom and independence for the nation.
Exploring Vinh Moc Tunnels and The historical story behind it.
The next destination is Vinh Moc Tunnels, a unique and meaningful historical work. When entering the tunnels, students experienced a small part of the arduous and resilient life of the people of Quang Tri during the war years. The narrow paths and the dark and damp rooms made students feel more clearly the difficulties and dangers that our ancestors had gone through. How they lived and fought underground, their sacrifices and bravery were deeply engraved in their minds, conveying a vivid lesson about patriotism, solidarity, and perseverance.
Enjoying the vibe and Having lunch at Cua Tung Beach
Leaving the tunnels, the group of students continued their journey to Cua Tung Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Central region, to enjoy lunch. Cua Tung Beach not only brought joy and relaxation but also helped them appreciate more the value of peace and of a life without war. The laughter on the white sand and the feet frolicking seemed to add energy, faith, and hope to them for a bright future.
Visiting Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River
Finally, the journey took them to Hien Luong Bridge on the Ben Hai River, a symbol of the division and unification of the country. Standing on the historic bridge, they listened to the story of the years when the country was divided, but also from here, they understood more clearly the faith, hope, and perseverance of the Vietnamese people to achieve the day of national unification. Hien Luong Bridge is not only a historical witness but also a symbol of the desire for peace, unity, and territorial integrity.
