Tour Hue 19/05 – Follow Uncle Ho’s foot

“From that moment on, I was filled with summer sunshine.
The sun of truth shines through the heart.”

I grew up when the country no longer had war or bombs. I only heard my father’s words about the heroic wars of a bloody time. I heard stories about Uncle Ho, the sun of every Vietnamese child.

One morning, early in the morning, I prepared my things and then set out with my fellow students to learn about Uncle Ho’s life. We went to a place that nurtured President Ho Chi Minh’s childhood during the years he and his family lived and studied: Hue.

Visit Ho Chi Minh Museum.

Ho Chi Minh Museum—the first place where we set foot. The sound of the National Anthem was heard when we offered flowers to him, along with the image of everyone looking towards Uncle Ho, making me deeply moved. I felt proud because not only me but everyone else was grateful. Look toward this sacred place with infinite love and respect. Only here can I see that everyone has a great love for Uncle Ho. Together with the students, I heard stories about Uncle Ho’s life and saw with our own eyes the familiar objects he left behind. So resilient and brave!

Follow Uncle Ho at Hue National Magnet and Gifted High School.

Then we moved to Hue Quoc Hoc School. Where the leader once studied. We moved around the school, visiting and exploring the space around the 128-year-old school. I also gradually learned why this is a school that many people remember. Because of the outstanding achievements that generations of students at this school have created. Quoc Hoc is an impressive and unique beauty, a bright pink school next to the pure blue Perfume River.

The afternoon comes when challenges are overcome. I see you bring all your courage and cheerful smiles to talk and communicate with foreign tourists. The communication session included sharing about oneself, hobbies, and family and also making promises to meet again.

Follow Uncle Ho’s footsteps – A journey that left me with so many emotions. I felt like I was living in that situation through the stories of the tour guides. I silently brought those feelings back to Quang Tri and carefully kept them in my heart. A truly memorable memory!

And finally, AET would like to send our deepest and most sincere thanks to Ms. Hang and the parents for always trusting, loving, and accompanying AET.
