Sunday might be a good time to whiff until noon, but guess what AET did last Sunday?
We had a very special Sunday. For the first time, AET has the opportunity to cooperate with JENA English Center on a trip to the ancient town of Hoi An. This is also the first time the trip departs from Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province. Therefore, the Tour Leaders were also a little nervous.
When the clock just struck 7:30 a.m., the students all arrived with full stomachs from breakfast and a clean set of clothes. They received a yellow uniform hat from the JENA Center, a colorful name tag from AET, and energetic “Hello, Hi” chants. Then the team was ready to start this journey.
In the morning, the students would learn to make their own Hoi An lanterns—a famous lantern hung everywhere in the old town. The way they apply glue, choose fabric color, and cut fabric, AET felt that each of the students had a different aesthetic taste. But the common thing is meticulousness and concentration, and all of their lantern products were very beautiful.
Even though the afternoon was a bit hot, it couldn’t stop the students from having quality conversations with foreign tourists. These could be simple questions, interactive games, chat topics with international friends, etc. AET felt happy because it was an afternoon full of energy and connection between everyone. These experiences will be part of your wonderful memories.
AET wants to thank Ms. Thao, teachers, parents, and all students of the JENA English Center for trusting and choosing AET as a companion on this special journey. Hopefully, in the future, we will have many chances to work together!
