After a long time, approximately three years, AET and the beloved students from Quang Tri had the opportunity to visit a place full of poetic and Hue characteristics – the cultural space of the Central Coast. In the Nguyen Dynasty era, this place was called Cung Duc Duc when the prince was about to ascend the throne, and later became the Phu Phu Chinh – the workplace of a council consisting of powerful officials authorized to act on behalf of the king and temporarily govern the country.
Stepping into this place, AET and the students felt like touching the past, as everywhere they looked, there were images of the ancient Nguyen era. Intricately handcrafted conical hats, childhood memories filled with kite flying, or colorful paper flowers of Thanh Tien delighted them unusually. And then, their own hands drew artworks on the palm-leaf hats and fabric kites with the rich imagination of children. Some drew the mischievous robot cat Doraemon, others drew a flying dragon freely soaring in the blue sky, and some even expressed their love for their mothers through affectionate brush strokes. Ad believes that these experiences and valuable information about the Nguyen era and the Central Coast (Lai, Le, Ho, Binh, Hinh Cong) will help the students establish a deep connection with the feudal history of their homeland.
And of course, the journey did not stop there! The afternoon brought a completely different, modern, vibrant, and interconnected atmosphere. You know, communicating in English with international tourists never stops being “hot,” no matter how many times you have done it because each encounter is a new story, a new friend, and a new country full of interesting things. The land of foggy England, the chocolate kingdom of Belgium, the Netherlands with windmills, or Australia – the home of kangaroos… all left a profound impression on the students. Ad is truly delighted to always see the students smiling and cheerful with the guests. Some of them even took the initiative to form small groups to check how confident they were, and then… success came, they had a lot of sharing and fun with the tourists, and even received gifts. It’s really wonderful, isn’t it? And the high-fives, feedback, and words of gratitude were the beautiful moments to conclude the activities at the Imperial City of Hue. On the way back to Quang Tri, Ad and the students, of course, didn’t forget to indulge in delicious dishes at Dong Ba Market. There’s nothing better than satisfying your hunger by eating the dishes you love right away.
Sincere thanks to Ms. Phuong Linh, dear parents, and the students in Gio Linh, Dong Ha, Hai Lang, and Hue for always believing in, accompanying, and being a great source of motivation for Amazing English Tour to organize meaningful trips. Wishing the teacher, parents, and students abundant energy and enthusiasm to study and work excellently!
